Turtle in the Reef – 500 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle (Ravensburger)

Half the picture is a sunset over a junk boat and palm-fringed cliffs; the other half drops straight under the waterline into a reef packed with clownfish, angelfish and a green turtle gliding through the coral. It’s a clever bit of composition that gives you two very different puzzles to build in one box.

The sky and sea section is all bold oranges and silhouettes, so that goes together quickly. The reef below is where the real work is dozens of small, brightly coloured fish and coral shapes that all need sorting by hand rather than by picture logic. Good one for someone who likes a busy, colourful build without it turning into a sky or ocean of solid blue.

500 pieces makes for a solid afternoon’s puzzle rather than a multi-day project, and the finished picture is bright enough to be worth framing once it’s done.
