Spring Avenue, Mainau 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle (Schmidt)

Come up the slope on a bright spring morning and the whole bank is tulips, scarlet and orange right down to the water’s edge, with the grass thick and green underneath them. A plane tree leans out over the slope with its new leaves just open, holding back the sky like a parasol.

Across the lake the mountains still have their snow on, and somebody has planted the poplars exactly where the light comes through!
