Dance by Kathryn Freeman 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle (Pomegranate)

Matisse’s Dance hangs on the wall of a bare grey room, and five red foxes have taken up the same ring on the chequered floor beneath it, a sixth leaping in through a doorway that opens onto a pine wood. A cellist in a blue coat plays beside them with the red-lined case open on the floor, a hound sleeps with a bone in the foreground, and a green chair holds a blue bowl and a small bird.

The grey walls and the flood of light across the floor are the slow part; the foxes and the blue Matisse panel come together early. Finished size 68.6 x 50.8cm.
